Custom “Plate & Sheet Bending” includes a variety Press Brakes from gauge material to heavy plates. From small to 600 tons x 20’-0” long Press Brakes, we bend all formable alloys. We form specified degree straight bending such as angle and channels to heavy bump formed shapes such as transitions, cones (concentric or eccentric), and contours. We can form your cut to size/shape material or we can provide shearing up to ½” by 14’-0”, CNC Plasma, and Oxy-Acytelene Cutting to help expedite your job. Our experience allows for the quality control you need to complete your projects in a timely manner.
We can work from your CAD files, sketches, or full size templates (paper, wood, etc.). No job too small!
Our plate and sheet bending runs on press brakes ranging from small machines up to 600 tons x 20′ long, handling everything from gauge material to heavy plate in all formable alloys. We form straight bends to a specified degree, such as angles and channels, along with heavy bump-formed shapes like transitions, concentric or eccentric cones, and contours. We can form your cut-to-size material or provide shearing up to ½″ by 14′, CNC plasma, and oxy-acetylene cutting to help expedite your job.
Plate & Sheet Bending Questions
What size press brakes do you use for plate bending?
We bend on a range of press brakes, from small machines up to 600 tons x 20′ long. That range lets us handle everything from gauge sheet metal to heavy plate.
What shapes can you bend from plate and sheet?
We form straight bends to a specified degree, such as angles and channels. We also produce heavy bump formed shapes, including transitions, concentric or eccentric cones, and contours.
What is bump forming?
Bump forming is a press brake technique that builds a curve or cone from a series of small, closely spaced bends. We use it for heavy formed shapes such as transitions, cones, and contours that a single bend cannot produce.
What is the difference between plate bending and plate rolling?
Plate bending is done on a press brake and creates bends at a set angle, or builds a shape through bump forming. Plate rolling passes the plate through rolls to form a continuous curve, such as a cylinder. We offer both, so you can get the right process for each part.
Can you bend stainless steel and aluminum plate?
Yes. We bend all formable alloys, including steel, aluminum, and stainless, along with specialty metals such as Hastelloy, titanium, Inconel, copper, and bronze.
How do I get a quote for plate bending?
Send us your CAD files, sketches, or full size templates made of paper, wood, or similar material, and include the material and thickness you need. You can call 310-329-2700 or use our contact page, and no job is too small.
